About

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” - Ansel Adams

Kristine Marie Photography is a wedding & family photographer established in 2011. My work has been featured in several wedding blogs in the United States and print magazines, such as Ceremony Magazine.

I primarily serve the Southern California area, including San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Riverside County. We are available for travel!

Philosophy

I believe that every client deserves to have their milestones remembered. I believe in documenting the beauty, wonder, and joy in life. I want to provide storytelling images that clients can look back on and relive joyful moments with people they love.

There are few things more rewarding to me than capturing a fleeting, blissful moment and granting it permanence in a photograph for people to enjoy.

Photography Style

My photography style is natural, joyful, and romantic. I put clients at ease and direct to evoke genuine emotion, which results in natural poses. I know when to step in and provide clear directions, and when to stand back, observe, and be ready to capture the best candid moments.

Documenting love stories and capturing candid moments are my favorite things to do! It’s easy for me to give my clients a fun and memorable photography experience because I truly love what I do and I’m having fun, too. It’s with great gratitude that I photograph people in love during their happiest milestones. About Kristine

About Kristine

I remember making my little sister pose in our living room with a flower crown fashioned on her head. It was high school and I borrowed my mom’s Olympus point and shoot film camera for a photography project. That’s when the curiosity began. Many years later, that photo still hangs in my parents’ home. After graduating from UC San Diego, I worked in several media and publishing companies, while photography continued to be just a hobby. Fast forward to 2010, I pursued my love for photography. I worked obsessively to develop my skills, while slowly building my business. In 2011, a co-worker asked me to photograph their wedding. She loved her photos, and it lit a fire in me. Later, her sister hired me to photograph her wedding and my little business steadily grew from there.

In my previous professional career, I worked as a Product Manager and Media Editor. I tap into these skills in my photography. I also invested in formal photography education. I attended New York Institute of Photography to supplement my hands-on experience as a self-taught photographer.

Being a creative entrepreneur, while also navigating motherhood has been an amazing journey. I’ve learned how to be both a dreamer and a doer. I’m inspired by nature, novels and beautiful light. I’m grateful for the opportunity to document people’s legacies and love stories as they unfold. I hope to tell your story through photographs someday!
