If I could borrow the DeLorean from Marty McFly, I’d travel back in time to when women wore hats and birdcage veils, and jeweled brooch pinned in their hair. I would visit Paris and walk on cobblestone streets, admire the scenery, and men and women’s fashionable attire. I would stop for a coffee and sample an eclaire (at every other cafe). I’ll have my arm hooked on my husband’s arm, with my other hand holding my other love… I’d bring my huge DSLR camera and really freak people out. Daydreams aside, there is something timeless and elegant about the birdcage veil. I love the look, so much so that I chose to wear a birdcage veil for my own wedding a few years ago. I made my birdcage veil myself and it looked a lot like the one below! This birdcage veil is also handmade by the lovely and talented, Iselle who designs wedding dresses and wedding accessories for the timeless bride. A few weeks ago, I photographed Dung (pronounced Yoom) and Joe in San Diego for styled wedding photos. Not unlike most weddings, we didn’t have much time, but there was an awesome team to make the styled bride and groom photoshoot a success. I hope that these styled wedding photos inspire you as you plan your wedding. Timeless and a touch of modern is always a winning combination.
The two lovebirds share a secret that has them smiling and laughing.
While the beautiful bride let her hair down, I photographed the groom in his impeccable white suit.
The gorgeous bride. Doesn’t she look beautiful? I love this look!
We went outside for outdoor bride and groom portraits. It was a warm “winter” day in San Diego and the sun was shining–a little too brightly for portraits of our lovely couple in all white. We took cover from the harsh noon sun under the changing leaves of a nearby tree. As we crossed the street, cars honked in boisterous celebration.
They’re totally adorable together. This photograph pretty much sums up how they feel about each other, I think.
This photo of Dung is so jubilant. She has such a radiant smile.
Thank you to everyone who made all of this pretty come together!

Oooooo! I love these! Beautiful work!
Beautiful! I love it when you do these shoots. I really like the one where they are under the tree and she is holding the parasol and he’s following her while they’re holding hands. The birdcage veil is a classic and stylish touch to a beautiful wedding gown. Oh and if I had the DeLorean, one of the things I would do is grab that orange vest from Marty for Rex. Haha!
Kristle! You crack me up!!!! Rex would flip out if you got him Marty’s orange bubble vest. hahahaha Yeah, I love that shot, too. They look so happy!
