“I
bet that this is how many of your friendships probably began with Alex. She most likely asked you a bunch of questions and took the time to get to know you, even if you were complete strangers.” Many wedding guests raise their glass in answer to the maid of honor’s question. The speech continues, “Alex wins the friendship of most everyone she meets. I suspect it has something to do with her genuine curiosity in getting to know people.”
When I heard those kind words about Alex during the toast at dinner, it struck a chord with me. I instantly remembered how she asked me a handful of questions about where I learned photography, and what I enjoyed most about it. These are normal questions I’ve been asked before, but mind you, this was on the bride’s wedding day. During the short walk to see her groom for the first time, Alex was taking the quiet time we had in the bustle of her wedding day, to get to know me better. Kindness always strikes a chord.
Below is the story of Alex and Ryan’s wedding day at Temecula Creek Inn, in photographs.
Alex attended Duke University in North Carolina, and hence, the flare on her gorgeous bouquet of roses and succulents.
I loved that the flower girl’s hair is adorned with a flower crown.
The bride and groom’s Temecula Creek Inn wedding by the Stone House was completely outdoors from the ceremony to reception. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is beautiful and charming, Temecula Creek Inn is it. There are chandeliers hanging from tree branches, twinkling lights, and a large dance floor. Temecula Creek Inn has that rustic charm. I especially love the beautiful arching trees in the ceremony location, shading guests from the sun. A pair of bridesmaids and soon-to-be sisters help Alex get ready.
The bridesmaids enjoy a glass of champagne and toast to the bride before she gets into her wedding dress.
I LOVE the lace detail on the back of the bride’s wedding dress.
Stunning!
Each of the bridesmaids signed their name on the bottom of the bride’s wedding shoes. How cute!
Arms outstretched, Alex and Ryan meet in the middle for the “First Look”.
It was an emotional and beautiful moment. It was perfect with just the two of them atop the hill. I love Temecula Creek Inn for its rolling hills and fields of green all around, which make for an amazing backdrop for romantic pictures of the bride and groom as they see each other for the first time during the First Look.
Guests find their seats based on places that the bride and groom have traveled together.
Yum! Candied nuts for guests to take home as wedding favors were placed in antique library catalog drawers.
An antique Underwood typewriter was one of my favorite pieces for their wedding decor.
Aww!!!
Hooray! They’re married!
I suspect that Alex’s friendly and genuine kindness is partly why Ryan looks at her adoringly. It was nearing the end of an amazing wedding day at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, CA. Wedding guests are enjoying their dinner and the company of close friends and family. The twinkling string of lights hovered high above everyone’s heads, and the stars were equally bright. The live band stopped playing for a moment as everyone turned towards the newlyweds, raising their glasses to toast to Alex and Ryan.
Congratulations, newlyweds!
xoxo,
