He comes off as the shy, quiet type, but surprises everyone on the dance floor. He is a Navy veteran with his roots in Baltimore. He is pragmatic, down-to-earth, and perfectly content spending time at home with their puppy.
She is brains as well as beauty, a strong force in the ER, an optimist, a native to San Diego who loves to explore new places and be in the company of friends.
Together, they’ve taught each other how to enjoy both adventures and quiet times at home, especially while in quarantine.
Their love story is over five years in the making and began when they were introduced to each other by mutual friends.
On a beautiful, sunny day in early May, they got married at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate in North County San Diego.
Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate (CMR Estate) was the perfect setting for an open-air garden ceremony and an indoor reception with gorgeous mountain views. As a San Diego wedding photographer, this venue definitely makes the list as my top ten favorite wedding venues to shoot weddings!
Below are some highlight pictures from their gorgeous wedding at CMR Estate in San Diego.
I love the custom cufflinks that the groom wore. It’s a great way to incorporate their dog in the wedding.
I gotta love couples who have a good sense of humor! The bride organized a prank and did a fake first look. One of their mutual friends dressed up in a white dress and surprised Patrick.
Their wedding was breathtaking with thoughtful and elegant details. Their colors were white and slate blue with green leaves and vines in white florals. A circle arch with white roses made a stunning backdrop for their garden ceremony.
Patrick held back tears as he watched his bride walk down the aisle with her mom.
Trang looked absolutely stunning as a bride!
After the wedding ceremony at CMR Estate, Trang and Patrick had a traditional Korean Tea Ceremony with their parents.
I love the personalized special touches, like customized cookies for each guest. It served as a place card as well as a delicious wedding favor. What’s not to love?
The reception space at CMR Estate is truly beautiful. Wall-to-wall windows and vaulted ceilings, let all that gorgeous natural light in!
Right before sunset, we snuck away for a few minutes to take some romantic portraits around CMR Estate.
After cutting their two-tiered modern wedding cake, the happy couple danced together for the first time as husband and wife to “Conversations in the Dark” by John Legend.
Everyone ate well and danced the night away. Their close family and friends had such an amazing time at Trang and Patrick’s wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate in San Diego!
Congratulations on pulling off the near mission impossible–having a wedding during a global pandemic and keeping your cool! Thank you for trusting me to capture such an important day in your lives!
Friends and family of the newlyweds, feel free to leave a message below to congratulate Trang and Patrick.
Warmly,
