he best relationships start with friendship. That’s how it started between this beautiful couple. From spending time with them during their engagement session at La Jolla Shores beach, and as I spent time with them on their wedding day at Mt. Woodson Castle, it is undeniable that Dave adores Jessie… They’re a great couple and their family and friends couldn’t be happier for them.

Jessie and Dave’s friendship grew into a romance and they are now officially husband and wife. The bride and groom were married at Mt. Woodson Castle in Ramona, California. Mt. Woodson is an absolutely gorgeous venue. Jessie and Dave’s beautiful wedding at the castle was romantic and charming. The old-world elegance, amazing views, and architecture was a dream to photograph.

The bride and her bridesmaids got ready at Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, California. I photographed Jessie getting ready and putting on her white, lace dress in her suite. We walked down towards the quaint courtyards at Rancho Bernardo Inn.  There, her husband-to-be was waiting to see her in her lace wedding dress for the first time. She met her groom’s eyes and they both burst into smiles. I love that Jessie and Dave decided to do a “first look.”  It was a beautiful moment between the two of them. Dave pulled Jessie close and couldn’t stop smiling!

There were so many memorable moments in Jessie and Dave’s Mt. Woodson Castle wedding. I loved that they allowed me to take full advantage of the picturesque venue at Mt. Woodson Castle. I loved photographing them in various settings around the castle.

After the ceremony, we hopped into a golf cart (special thank you to Iman Rosario, the day of wedding coordinator,  for providing this for us!)  in search of perfect light during sunset around the castle grounds. It isn’t hard to find photo opportunities at Mt. Woodson Castle. Jessie and Dave were such great sports, and so fun to photograph. The two of them are playful with each other, and so clearly in love.

One of my favorite wedding details at Jessie and Dave’s Mt. Woodson Castle wedding was that there was an awesome mode of transportation. No, I’m not referring to the golf cart that allowed  for more bride and groom portraits in a gorgeous landscape setting during sunset.

The bride and groom had a stylish exit planned. No, I’m not just referring to their sparkler exit. The bride and groom drove off in style in a white 1957 Ford Thunderbird. Oh yeah… I am pretty sure that I eyed the classic car more than the cake. The cake even had a cute cake topper to match their vintage ride parked in front of Mt. Woodson Castle.

The newlyweds drove off into the moonlight in a classic American car, with their wedding guests waving and cheering.
