Brooke and Devin got married, shoreside, at Mission Beach Women’s Club on a perfect June day in San Diego, California. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and the ocean breeze mixed perfectly with all of the excitement in the air. The lovely couple was surrounded by their closest friends and family on their wedding day. One of their favorite places to be, the beach, was also close by, just as they wanted their sunny San Diego wedding day to be. Brooke and Devin’s engagement photos were taken at Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach and it seemed only fitting to also get married on the beach.
The bride and her bridesmaids got ready together in beautiful, silk robes in various colors. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen were also getting ready at the Hyatt Regency in Mission Bay.
The Jewish ceremony began with a beautiful melody from a ukulele. Brooke and Devin declared their vows under the “chuppah,” a white canopy which signifies the home that the bride and groom will build together. The rabbi led a lovely traditional Jewish ceremony for the bride and groom. With the breaking of glass and a flurry of cheering: “Mazel tov!” the rabbi announces Brooke and Devin as husband and wife! Brooke and Devin walk down the aisle together, hand-in-hand, bubbles floating around them.
I took the bride and groom’s portraits during sunset when the sunlight, golden and perfect, made the bride look more beautiful in her handmade white wedding dress, designed with love by her mom. I captured photos of the newlyweds simply enjoying each other on the happiest day of their life, and enjoying their first San Diego sunset together as husband and wife. It will be the first of many beautiful sunsets on the sands of a San Diego beach together.
I hope that you enjoyed the wedding photos of Brooke and Devin taken at Mission Beach Women’s Club. Don’t forget to leave a comment below to congratulate the bride and groom on getting married!
