I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone smile so brightly. Esme was radiant on her wedding day. Manny, was all smiles as he looked at her. There was so much joy during this wedding at Marina Village. Manny and Esme’s family and friends were all there to witness their marriage in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. This church is where Esme’s parents were married years ago. How special is that? It’s beautiful to know that Esme’s father walked her down the same aisle that he walked down to marry her mother.
Once the ceremony was over, it was time to party! We followed the bride and groom and wedding party into the stretch limousine and headed for Balboa Park. As we piled in, music played, and during the ride to Balboa Park for some wedding portraits, the limo was filled with laughter as the newlyweds kissed and played their matching air guitars.
The reception was held in the Marina Village Captain’s Room, overlooking rows of sailboats lazing on the water. Music from the mariachi band trailed out to the marina, in rhythm to the rocking sailboats. After dinner, we chased daylight and slipped out for a couple of photos by the water at the marina.
Their lovely little daughter, was shy at first, but was fun to photograph as she showed off her flower basket and pretty dress. Throughout the day, I loved catching her looking up at her beautiful mom with love and admiration.
It was great to capture the love and little moments during Manny and Esme’s Marina Village wedding.
