They were a part of each other’s lives since high school and after eight years of dating, Matt proposed to Ashton on a cloudy Seattle morning, while hiking.
Ashton and Matt still love to explore the outdoors. In fact, days before they tied the knot, they hiked Yosemite.
In keeping with their love for the outdoors, they married at Los Willows Wedding Estate in Fallbrook, CA surrounded by their family and closest friends.
Their wedding palette was a romantic combination of dusty rose and gold. Romantic and classic never goes out of style, and their wedding was beautiful, joyful, and lively with lots of dancing. Below are photos from their beautiful wedding day at Los Willows Wedding Estate.
The bride wore something so special–a custom veil with lace from her mom’s wedding dress!
How Matt Proposed: Matt, Ashton, and her sister Savannah decided to hike at Snoqualmie Falls in Seattle. It was a cloudy day, and they wanted to get a better view of the waterfall. So, they traversed down to the riverbank through rocky terrain. Unfortunately, there was no view of the waterfall.
There they stood on rocks in the middle of the river. Matt, feeling panicked but clearly keeping the big picture in mind (making Ashton his fiance) got down on one knee. He mumbled some things that were profoundly romantic, but the sound of the river made it hard to hear. 😉 Ashton, surprised and elated, mumbled some things back, and just like that–they’re engaged!
With a kiss, they’re MARRIED!!!
After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a boat ride around Los Willows Wedding Estate while enjoying champagne.

Their family and friends flew from all over, including New York and Chicago, and clearly, they didn’t let the time difference keep them from PARTYING all night long!
The new Mr. and Mrs. were sent off with a grand bubble exit.
