iz and Steve met while they were both students at UCSD. Liz was working part-time at a local fresh fish taco restaurant called, “Wahoo’s” in La Jolla. Steve was instantly attracted to the beautiful blonde girl behind the counter. The shy and quiet type, Steve couldn’t bring himself to spark up a conversation. Instead, he became a frequent customer….loyal to the bone for about two years! One day, Liz received a Facebook message from the handsome boy who was wild for the Wahoo’s fish tacos. They went on their first date shortly after.
Fast forward seven years of dating, after graduating UCSD, and after moving from San Diego to San Francisco, the beautiful couple are engaged!
It was fall of 2014, and Steve convinced Liz to join him on a jog through the Russian Hill neighborhood in San Francisco. Steve, with his heart pounding nervously, bent down to “tie his shoe.” On one knee, he asked Liz if she would spend the rest of her life with him. She said YES!
In sunny San Diego, Liz and Steve exchanged heartfelt vows at Heritage Hall in Carlsbad, California. Lots of merriment followed at Magee Park afterward, in the company of their closest family and friends.
I was ooh-ing and aah-ing as the day unfolded, and more and more of Liz and Steve’s organic style and wedding details revealed themselves so beautifully. I love that design and personality shone through in every detail of their wedding day, from bridal accessories, that were both romantic and playful, and their ceremony and reception decor. Below are a few favorite photos from Liz and Steve’s lovely wedding in Carlsbad.
