Phil + Kristen are Married! | Fairbanks Ranch Country Club Wedding

It started with a group workout, as Kristen was training for a triathalon. Phil and Kristen became friends and started riding their bikes together with the rest of the group. Then one day, Phil asked Kristen if she wanted to ride their bikes together–just the two of them. She said yes.

They ended up spending the entire day together and began dating after that. Fast forward to one Christmas Eve…  Phil comes over to surprise Kristen with her Christmas present. Silently hoping for a ring, Kristen’s heart fell when she realized that the box was much too big for an engagement ring. She opened up her present and saw that it was a beautiful Kate Spade clutch.

Little did she know that inside the Kate Spade clutch was the diamond ring she was hoping for. Phil urged her to open the clutch to check out the “really nice lining.” As Kristen opened the clutch, he fell to one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said yes!

It was a  warm August day in Rancho Santa Fe. The couple’s closest friends and family were all in attendance at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club to celebrate Phil and Kristen’s love. With a beautiful lake view wrapped around the ceremony site, and as hot air balloons speckled the sky at sunset, Phil and Kristen got married.

Kristen has impeccable style. I especially loved her Kate Spade clutch. It seems as though this clutch ties small, but remarkable details. It’s a nod to how Phil proposed to her, by hiding a ring box in a Kate Spade clutch one Christmas. The Mr. and Mrs. plates and car detail also ties in nicely with the bride’s grand entrance in a 1937 packard.

I also love Kristen’s wedding shoes by Betsey Johnson. The sparkly bow details and the turquoise blue bottoms are just gorgeous.

Kristen’s wedding bouquet is a mix of rustic and romance. Her bouquet is of succulents and blush white roses.

Kristen’s engagement ring is a stunning family heirloom. The diamond belonged to Phil’s mom, and it was reset for Kristen.

The couple’s french bulldog, Maxine is so adorable, and got ready along with the girls.

Kristen wore an elegant Jim Hjelm wedding dress.

I love this candid photo of the stunning bride.

Kristen wore her hair to the side in soft curls–reminiscent of old Hollywood actresses.

Kristen arrived at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in a mint condition 1937 Packard.

I absolutely love this romantic black and white portrait of Phil and Kristen.

Phil and Kristen had a gelato bar and a smores bar–complete with all the toppings you could ask for. Their wedding guests thoroughly enjoyed the dessert bars.
