On a rainy day in San Diego, CA, Amy and Joseph were in their separate suites getting ready for their wedding day. Despite the gray skies, both Amy and Joseph were in great spirits, laughing with their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Amy’s father stopped by to greet his daughter with a hug and kiss on the hand. I thought it was such a sweet gesture, and I know that Amy felt like royalty on her big day, as a bride should.
Amy and Joseph are such a beautiful couple, and I adored working with them. They were not at all worried about a little rain because they knew that all that mattered was that they were getting married and sharing the day with their closest friends and family.
Joseph is the perfect gentleman, always thoughtful and never fails to show Amy how much he loves her. He surprised his bride to be with a note the day of the wedding. His words nearly brought her to tears.
I adore these pictures of the beautiful bride, Amy and her lovely bridesmaids helping her with final touches before the wedding ceremony.
Amy is sweet…gorgeous without knowing it, with a graceful and shy smile that radiates as soon as Joseph’s name is mentioned or whenever he is near her.
We stepped out onto the rooftop for photos, with the gorgeous views of Balboa Park behind and below us.
The cake, much like the bride’s style, was timeless and elegant.
I loved the wedding color palette that Amy and Joseph chose for their beautiful wedding at The Prado in Balboa Park. The creamy white linen, the gold, and soft florals, came together beautifully.
Joseph was smiling from ear to ear at the sight of his beautiful bride walking down the aisle.
Amy and Joseph have been together for seven years. Read their love story and see their engagement photos here. This was the day they have both been waiting for, and the ceremony was full of emotion.
After the ceremony, we headed to the Organ Pavilion at Balboa Park for some romantic photos. The bride and groom have been practicing their first dance for weeks, and the two of them gave me a little preview during their bride and groom portraits.
Amy and Joseph’s first dance went flawlessly. Their wedding guests were totally impressed!
For just a few minutes the gray clouds parted, and the sun shone for the newlyweds. We stepped outside onto the balcony and took in the views. The day was perfect.
Amy and Joseph’s wedding guests were such a fun crowd, and the dance floor was always packed. It was an awesome celebration!
Thank you so much for allowing me to document your wedding day, Amy and Joseph. It was such a pleasure meeting your friends and family. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness with plenty of romantic trips to faraway places.
xoxo,

Looks great!
These are beautiful Kristine! I love Prado weddings 🙂
Beautiful couple; great photos
Barely noticed that it was raining with all the smiles. Congrats!
Congrats to the couple! There’s a lot of awesome shots! My favorites are the black and white photos.
Beautiful details at this wedding! Their wedding cake is super pretty, so is her dress, and the blush pink bridesmaids dresses. You captured it all, plus amazing candids.
LOVE it! The Prado at Balboa Park is so pretty. I really like the pictures of the bridesmaids with the bride. You nailed it! A couple of them look like paintings! Great job, Kristine!
I love all of the pictures! Especially, the photos on the rooftop overlooking balboa park.
