“Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.” That day, this statement couldn’t have been more true for Erica and Lee. With the help of both families, Lee planned a romantic surprise proposal for his girlfriend. I was grateful to photograph the proposal for them at Windandsea Beach in La Jolla, California. 
A carpet of red and pink rose petals leads to candles in the shape of a heart, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Lee would propose at Windandsea Beach, atop of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

I love how romantic and playful the proposal was. I especialy love the sign, “It’s about damn time!” Haha.
Lee patiently awaited the arrival of his girlfriend, Erica.
There may or may not have been some pacing back and forth, and triple checking the safe location of the ring box in his jacket pocket.
Minutes before arriving to the proposal location at Windandsea Beach, Erica was given a photo album, that showcased their relationship throughout the years.
The sight of Lee and the sweetly decorated beach brought tears to Erica’s eyes. Something wonderful was about to happen…
To complete a grand, romantic gesture, Lee bent down on one knee and presented a diamond ring to Erica.
She said, “Yes!!!”
It’s one of the most blissful moments to be engaged, and I’m so grateful that I was able to capture this amazing milestone for this beautiful couple.
I love how thoughtful and detailed Lee’s proposal was. It’s so romantic and it made everything more special for Erica. She’ll never forget that day.
That December evening, the sunset was absolutely stunning. The proposal was magical!
