H appy First Birthday, Abe! Grace and Stephen’s adorable bundle of joy just turned one and the family of three celebrated with a family photoshoot in San Diego. After a quick outfit change, Grace and Stephen presented Abe with an awesome cake with pale green frosting, decorated with colorful sprinkles.
Cake smashes for first birthdays are so much fun. Stephen and Grace let Abe go at it, and the result was pretty adorable. Abe did a great job smashing his birthday cake and melting our hearts.

The beautiful couple enjoy taking walks in the evenings. It’s their time to connect as husband and wife–not to mention a great time to enjoy the always lovely San Diego weather.
Stephen and Grace also enjoy trying new places to eat, especially Japanese food. (Me too!!) They let sushi chefs surprise them by ordering omakase, which is a Japanese phrase that means “I’ll leave it up to you,” essentially allowing for a different, creative, and exciting dining experience. Omakase, or “chef’s choice” is for the brave and adventurous, and it’s the couple’s favorite!
The lovely couple are both pharmacists, but Grace is currently a stay at home mom to take care of her handsome son.
Stephen and Grace love watching their son, Abe grow and learn new things everyday. Currently, Abe’s favorite things include: playing with his blocks, stacking rings, and picture books. Someday, he may enjoy omakase and Japanese food as much as his parents, but for right now, his current favorites are strawberries, eggs, avocado, and Joe’s O’s cereal.
At one years old, Abe is playful, curious, and persistent. The happy couple enjoy being parents and look forward to seeing the kind of person Abe will grow into.
