My phone rang. I picked up and a few minutes into the conversation I realized that she wasn’t calling just to say “hello”.
Heather is one of those very pretty girls who have no idea how pretty they are. That just makes them even prettier. Heather and I were roommates in college at UC San Diego. We shared an apartment, a couple of college classes, and also shared a love for make-up, sushi and shopping. Even now, years later, we still laugh like a couple of college schoolgirls when we’re together.
We talked about her wedding plans and after a few minutes, she asked me a question shyly. I said “Yes!” (incomprehensible, yet audible sounds of delight followed from both lines.) I was honored to be a part of her bridal entourage as a bridesmaid.
All of Heather’s bridesmaids and the maid of honor, Rayna all went on a winery tour in Temecula. Perhaps you’ve noticed that Rayna and Heather have a striking resemblance–they’re twins! We went to about 5 or 6 (I lost count ;))different wineries that hot afternoon, and enjoyed a delicious lunch outside at one of the wineries overlooking the Temecula hills.
Endless wine coaxed plenty of girl talk about boys, weddings, babies and life’s joys. It was fun getting to know Heather’s close circle of girlfriends that day.
Special thanks to Heather’s sister, Rayna for organizing a fantastic bachelorette party!
(And also for snapping the picture below of me with Helen and Heather!)
Not pictured is the latter half of the bachelorette party which took place at Heather’s home. Rest-assured, the evening certainly ended with lots of fun games, gifts, more drinks and an abundance of laughs.
I hope you enjoyed the images from Heather’s bachelorette party. I invite you to stop by my
