Boys, what should you do if you meet a smart, beautiful girl who appreciates beer as much as you do? I suppose, you could get down on one knee and propose.
(I love this series of Tina genuinely giddy with excitement. This is when Bryce arrived at our location from work and she sees him walking towards us.)
Sorry, boys–Tina’s taken, so keep looking. Bryce proposed his love for her last February, just a few days after Valentine’s Day. He proposed through photographs and in candlelight. As a wedding photographer, this creative and romantic wedding proposal grants Bryce lots of brownie points! On their way to the Prado restaurant in Balboa Park, San Diego, Tina noticed a line of candles lighting the path near the lily pond. A photo album full of fond memories of them since they started dating in 2008 filled the album. As Tina turns to the last page, she sees a picture of a ring and the text that reads, “Will you marry me?”
Bryce falls to one knee and presents her with the real deal…
Tina and Bryce met at a brewery. They were both working as foodservers right down the hill from University of California, San Diego campus at Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. They were both paying their way through college at UCSD in La Jolla. Rock Bottom is where their love and appreciation for craft beer started since beer was brewed on site. Bryce goes for hoppier beer and loves India Pale Ale (IPAs) and Tina loves beer with fruitier notes, especially Saison or Belgian Ale. Tina is a realtor and specializes in first-time homebuyers and Bryce is a mortgage underwriter. I know, could they be more perfect for each other? When they’re taking a break from being completely adorable, you’ll find them enjoying the craft beer scene in San Diego. I have a hunch that Bryce and Tina’s wedding guests are in for a special treat.
After they met, their friendship grew to something more. On July 4th, when the evening fireworks competed with the stars, they shared their first kiss and sparks really did fly. Soon, these craft-beer loving lovers will tie the knot in La Jolla, California.
Behind the scenes tidbit: I kicked off my favorite leopard-print shoes, hiked up my pants and waded in the water to take this shot. Bryce was a total gentleman and offered to carry my gear and gave me his extra shirt to dry off. (Forget about the brownie points, buy this man a beer!)
