Flora & Franklin are Engaged!

The movie was absolutely terrible. Flora and Franklin laughed, recalling the movie they watched on their first date. Thankfully, the company more than made up for Ben Afleck’s poor acting in the movie, Daredevil.  Both freshmen at UCSD, Flora casually asked Franklin to join her for a movie on campus. (I love that Flora made the first move!) Franklin remembers feeling super nervous during their first date, “she’s so cute and really smart, and I didn’t know how to act around her.” The two didn’t let a bad movie spoil their evening, and the two of them went on a second date. This was thirteen years ago, and Flora and Franklin are now engaged to be married.

Flora and Franklin love to hike trails all throughout San Diego. They love being outdoors, and find themselves spending a lot of their spare time by the coast. For their engagement session, they chose to stay close to where their love story began–UCSD. We explored UC San Diego’s Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and enjoyed the view as we ascended higher.

We also explored Scripps Seaside Forum, overlooking beautiful Scripps beach. Below are a few favorite photos of Flora and Franklin’s engagement.

Flora and Franklin are a playful couple, and I love how easily they can make each other smile.

I actually went to school with Flora at UCSD, and we even worked at the same campus eatery! It was awesome to re-connect with a fellow Triton!

As the sun began to set, we made our way to Scripps Pier. Flora and Franklin got their toes wet and enjoyed the first day of fall at the beach!

Soon, Flora and Franklin will be Mr. and Mrs. I’m looking forward to documenting their wedding day in just a few weeks!
