hey met at a Starbucks in Hollywood, Florida where Cornelia was attending school. They chatted for a bit and learned that they both lived close by. No numbers were exchanged during their first meeting, but their paths would cross again and again.
Apart from the same Starbucks that they frequented, they would later learn that they also go to the same yoga studio in town. After seeing each other again in yoga classes, Brian asked Cornelia out on a date.
On their very first date, there were fireworks…literally. It was the Fourth of July in 2013 and it was a romantic night. Fast forward a few years of dating, including a big move across the country to San Diego, and the happy couple are engaged to be married!
Below are photos of their romantic engagement session at Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve in San Diego, California. The two of them enjoy the outdoors and often go camping, so the natural setting in a favorite San Diego hiking site was perfect for them.
The bride to be wore her hair up with a romantic side braid. I love how the beautiful sunlight frames their silhouette in this next photo.
The bride to be wore a beautiful white lace dress with a unique mandarin collar.
“Brian is meticulous, organized, ambitious, very handy and talented. (Brian started his own business this year to manufacture and sell handmade products and art works!) He is also very observant. I appreciate him being down to earth and solid,” Cornelia says about her groom to be.
The lovely couple share similar humor and quirks.
I love it when couples get all dressed up for their engagement photos!
Cornelia works as a Clinical research assistant at one of the clinical research organizations (PPD) in San Diego.
“Strong, but caring. Cornelia is always willing to listen.” Brian describes her bride to be as someone who is reserved when people first meet her, but once you get to know her, she will open up and reveal her playfulness.
“We both love how we get each other like no other people and we can be ourselves in front of each other,” Cornelia says.
I love this photo of Cornelia and Brian sitting in an open field the color of gold.
“I love how he makes me laugh and feel safe,” Cornelia says about Brian.
This last engagement photo of the the happy couple shows how in love these two are. Congratulations on the engagement, Brian and Cornelia! I hope that you love your engagement photos.
