Their love story started about five years ago when they were both students in college. It’s a classic girl next door story…set in the dorm rooms of Santa Clara University in northern California. Jaclyn was the Resident Assistant or RA for the dormitory hall and it just so happens that Brandon would occupy one of the dorm rooms that Jaclyn oversaw.
Fast forward a few years and their relationship has grown stronger than ever. Right after the Thanksgiving holiday, Brandon surprised Jaclyn with a proposal and a beautiful diamond ring set in gold, which is her favorite.
After dinner, Brandon took Jaclyn aside. As Brandon fell to one knee, Jaclyn’s hands flew up to her face, streaked with tears of joy. She was so surprised. In the excitement, Jaclyn completely forgot about the ring and didn’t even give Brandon a chance to place it on her finger.
It turns out that Brandon let Jaclyn’s family in on the secret proposal, and they all appeared to congratulate the newly engaged couple.
Soon, they will wed in a beautiful winery, and it will surely be the happiest day of their life.
For Brandon and Jaclyn’s engagement photoshoot, they decided to have it in one of their favorite vacation spots: Pacific Beach in San Diego, California. It has become a yearly tradition for Jaclyn and her family to vacation and stay at Capri by the Sun in Pacific Beach.
From there the happy couple walked hand-in-hand to their favorite local bar and restaurant, called JRDN Restaurant in Pacific Beach. After enjoying a white wine for her, and a manhattan for him, we then headed to Crystal Pier to enjoy the beach.
I had such a fun time with Jaclyn and Brandon. They are such an adorable and fun couple. We spent most of the time laughing, which made it a carefree engagement session.
