After a few years of marriage, you can exchange looks with your husband and bust out in laughter from your most current inside joke. This fun couple who hail from Nebraska was not only easy on the eyes, but so easy to laugh and have fun with. It was such a blast photographing Eric and Betty who were celebrating their wedding anniversary.
We spent a golden summer afternoon at Keys Creek Lavender Farm here in San Diego. It is a gorgeous venue with a romantic, rustic charm…just my kind of place! Keys Creek Lavender Farm is a hidden gem…it’s seriously out in the middle of nowhere, which makes it even more of an adventure, I think. To get there, you have to anticipate a little off-roading. I saw it as a golden opportunity for an afternoon adventure. It was fun to take a little trip off the beaten path. Trust me, it’s worth the bit of a drive and a car wash from all of the dust afterward. 🙂 Keys Creek Lavender Farm is an amazing place as a wedding venue, engagement or portrait location. You must check it out!
Here’s a few of my favorites from Eric and Betty’s Keys Creek Lavender Farm Wedding Anniversary Portraits.
We continued our sunset wedding anniversary portraits down a steep, dusty hill towards beautiful fields of lavender. Eric is such a gentleman and gave Betty a piggy-back ride. Adorable!
I love flowers and with purple being one of my favorite colors, it was absolutely amazing to see rows and rows of lavender during sunset.
This photo reminds me of a marriage between two famous movie scenes: the utterly romantic dance lift in the movie, Dirty Dancing, and the passionate kiss in the rain in the movie, The Notebook. In any case, bravo, Eric and Betty. Anytime a modern photoshoot conjures up scenes from classic romantic films with charming actors like Patrick Swayze and Ryan Gosling, I’m happy. 🙂
This photo makes me smile. I love the carefree feeling in it and the beautiful couple looks so happy sitting in the field of lavender.
As the sun set behind the hills, Eric danced with Betty under a string of lights. It was a perfect way to end a romantic photoshoot at Keys Creek Lavender Farm in San Diego.
I hope that you enjoyed the wedding anniversary photos of Eric and Betty taken at Keys Creek Lavender Farm in San Diego. I invite you to follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see my latest work!
