It’s a wonderful place with a charming stone house, surrounded with rolling green hills and immense trees with dense branches. Glowing lamps and a wrought iron chandelier are suspended in the air. I was in love.  This wedding venue had me at “chandelier suspended in the air.”  The stone house at Temecula Creek Inn is a beautiful venue for a wedding. It is a wedding photographer’s dream. This is definitely a wedding location to mentally “pin” as a possible venue when my husband and I renew our vows. (Hey hon, hint-hint. 😉 ) Long wooden tables and old wine barrels added to the rustic charm. A small, brown barn is tucked quietly along a beaten dirt path. It felt peaceful, charming with an old-world elegance. Temecula Creek Inn stone house is a page torn from a fairytale book, and I was there to photograph a styled wedding of a fairytale bride and groom for the day.

San Diego Wedding PhotographerBrendan and Cassidy make a beautiful bride and groom. The way that she rests her head lovingly on his shoulder and how he places his hands on the small of her back is as if they have known each other forever…

Forever in this case is a solid couple of hours. No, this isn’t an arranged marriage. As I mentioned, they are a fairytale bride and groom. You wouldn’t have known it from the images. They were both such great sports playing bride and groom for me and the other photographers attending the styled wedding photography session that fellow wedding photographer, Geoffrey Rowe Lbipp, organized. This is the second bridal photography session that I’ve attended this year and it was FUNTABULOUS. About a dozen other wedding photographers from San Diego, Los Angeles, and all over Southern California were in attendance, and it was great to meet everyone.

Brendan and Cassidy were the first couple that I photographed. Since there were other photographers, we each had five minutes to direct and shoot and then rotate to another photographer. Believe me, those five minutes go by fast. It was good practice for an actual wedding where photography time with the couple is limited. Shooting in this way is an adrenaline rush. It forces me to think on my feet. The fact that I have other photographers, some who have over 5 years of shooting experience in the wedding photography industry as an audience, adds additional pressure. It was  intense, but I had such a blast! I had so much fun that I forgot how hungry I was. Crazy, I know.

I think think that my favorite part was enacting the “first look.” It was sweet to see Cassidy tap Brendan on the shoulder for his “first look” of her in her beautiful designer wedding gown.  He turns around, and a wide smile sweeps across his face.San Diego Wedding Photographer

Stay tuned for Part II (and possibly Part III) of the Temecula Creek Inn styled wedding photoshoot. I will be sharing lots of wedding images of some gorgeous brides and another stylish couple.  Feel free to visit my Facebook page and hit “Like” to stay current on new posts and my latest work.

Wow, this was a workshop? How cool is that? I’ve not been to anything like this. You dud a wonderful job. The location is beautiful. They look adorable even if it was just a shoot. Elegant and classic.

Hi Michelle,

It wasn’t so much a workshop, but a styled wedding and bridal photoshoot that a photographer organized. Geoff spearheaded the whole operation! It was so much fun and I hope to organize one of my own soon. Thank you 🙂 Brendan and Cassidy look so cute together <3
