Rachael’s one of those amazing fit moms that I so admire. Her active daughter, Amelia (who is named after the American Aviator and heroine, Amelia Aerhart) keeps her parents on their toes as she zooms around Kamakura’s ancient shrines. On a chilly day, I photographed the beautiful family of (almost) four at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine in Kamakura.
I love this maternity portrait of Rachael framed by first blossoms and the gentle slopes of Japanese architecture.
Another favorite is this sweet photo of the whole family as they share a kiss after crossing one of the red bridges.
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu in Kamakura is only a short train ride from Yokosuka. It’s a large shrine with bright red torii gates, bridges, and a wall of sake barrels. All of these aspects make for a unique photo backdrop for a maternity session with this lovely family.
Thanks for choosing Kristine Marie Photography to document this special time in your family’s lives!
Warmly,
